Chris focuses his practice on civil law issues including motor vehicle accidents, premise liability, contractual disputes, general civil litigation, and estate planning. He also has the honor of representing security contractors and linguists pursuing benefits under the Defense Base Act after sustaining injuries while assisting United States Forces overseas in warzones. He has experience representing clients in both state and federal court on a variety of issues.
Chris is also a Judge Advocate General with the rank of Major in the United States Air Force Reserves. He currently serves as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate at the 512 Airlift Wing at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. He is also an instructor with the Air Force TRIALS team, a hand-picked organization responsible for teaching litigation techniques to active duty Judge Advocate Generals around the world. In previous assignments, Chris prosecuted and defended Airmen in courts-martial and represented Airmen on appeal at the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and the United States Supreme Court.
Chris is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, the United States Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the State of Michigan.
Chris and his wife, Ashley, live in Roanoke, Virginia with their three children. Outside of his law practice and military obligations, he is active in his church, coaches travel soccer, plays ice hockey, and is an avid runner.
Dan is a litigator. He has more than a decade of experience representing businesses and individuals in a broad range of civil litigation matters, especially commercial litigation. Dan represents contractors and project owners in construction disputes in both state and federal courts. Dan also serves as local counsel for international companies involved in Virginia litigation. His litigation work has provided Dan with the tools to advise clients in pre-litigation and find best strategies for long-term success.
Dan has repeatedly been identified as a Virginia Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” and was selected as one of only 22 “Up and Coming Lawyers” honorees from across the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2018.
Dan is licensed in Virginia and West Virginia (inactive) Supreme Courts, as well as the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, and both federal district courts of Virginia. Dan is fluent in Spanish, having lived and worked in Spain and Chile prior to studying law at the University of Virginia School of Law. Dan has considerable experience representing Spanish-speaking clients.
Outside of his legal practice, Dan spends time with his wife Susan and young family; he is an avid racquetball player and runner. He qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon in 2018. Dan has played the Scottish Highland Bagpipes since he was 11 years old.
